Abstracts and extended abstracts (short papers of 3-4 pages max.) should cover one or more of the conference topics.

Please note the deadline for abstract submissions (31th July 2020) and the extended abstract (31th August 2020), if you are interested in publishing a short version of your work in the proceedings by Springer.

However, in response to many requests and due to the significant disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the submission system will remain open to receive abstracts until 15th August 2020. Late authors will be notified shortly after submission. The publication plan will also be delayed.

Submitting an extended abstract (short conference paper) for publication in the proceedings by Springer is optional.

Both abstracts and extended abstracts should be written in English. Abstracts should be submitted directly online via the Performer system and extended abstracts should be submitted using this Template (see below). Both submissions will undergo a peer-review process.

For notification of acceptances, please see Important Dates.

At least one of the authors has to be registered before the registration deadline (30th September 2020) to warrant inclusion of the abstract in the conference program and, if chosen, publication of the short paper in the conference proceedings by Springer.

Firstly, you should submit the short abstract online and then wait for the decision of the scientific committee. To submit, please click on “Submit” below and insert your abstract on the form.

If accepted, we will invite you to submit an extended version (short proceedings conference paper) of your abstract. However, submission of this extended version for publication in the proceedings is optional. If you intend to submit (after being invited on 15th July 2020), please click on “Submit” below.

To submit your extended abstract, please fellow these guidelines:

  • Insert the title of your paper in the “Title” section.
  • Select the major topic of your study.
  • Upload your extended abstract in the “Upload” section.
  • Press the “Submit” button at the end of the form.

The submission system will send you a confirmation e-mail after each submission.

By submitting a short abstract, you agree that if it is accepted, one of the co-authors will attend the conference, register, pay the registration fee and present the paper onsite. Alternatively, one of the co-authors will register, pay the registration fee and present the paper online without attending in person).
