The second edition was organized in Salerno (Italy) in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>This third <span style=\"color: #ffa403;\">WaterEnergy<\/span><strong>NEXUS<\/strong> conference, initially planned to be organized in the island of Djerba in Tunisia, will provide an international digital platform where key topics on water management can be shared and discussed by participants with the presentation of nature-based solutions, advanced technologies and best practices by a panel of experts invited as plenary and keynote speakers. Another objective of this 2020\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ffa403;\">WaterEnergy<\/span><strong>NEXUS<\/strong> conference is to enhance cooperation, integration and sustainable development in the Euro-Mediterranean region on the critical links between Water and Energy.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #ffa403;\">WaterEnergy<\/span><strong>NEXUS<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/waterenergynexus.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series of conferences<\/a> are supported by the <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/environment\/water\/wwap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNESCO World Water Association Programme (WWAP)<\/a> and the <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/iwa-network.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Water Association (IWA)<\/a>.
