The Conference

The WaterEnergyNEXUS is one of the most important and priority issue to be resolved for both current and next generations. The AySA (Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos), with the support of the University of Salerno (Italy), Kyungpook National University (Korea), Khalifa University (UAE) and CONICET (Argentina), is organizing the forth Edition of WaterEnergyNEXUS Conference, that will be held in Daegu (Korea) from December 5 to 8 of the 2023. During the next edition, WaterEnergyNEXUS will provide an international platform to share and discuss key topics on such water issues with the presentation of nature-based solutions, advanced technologies and best practices with the support of experts invited as plenary and keynote speakers. An additional aim of WaterEnergyNEXUS in 2023 is to contribute to the overall goal of enhancing cooperation, integration and sustainable development in the South America region on critical topics of Water and Energy.

        Access to high-quality water is essential to our survival. Clean water and sanitation are our top priorities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as defined by the United Nations (UN)
        Energy is central to almost every major challenge and opportunity the world faces today. Everyone needs energy and it is essential to ensure universal access to modern energy services through improved efficiency and increased use of renewable sources.
        Water and Energy systems are interdependent and are strongly linked to Human and Ecosystem health. In addition, wasteful use of Water and Energy resources reduces quality of life and contributes to climate change.

                            All accepted papers (max. 3 pages) after the pre-conference peer-review process will be published as book chapters in the conference proceedings by Springer Nature. All the works presented at WaterEnergyNEXUS, are candidate for the submission in the collaborating journals (ISI Journals) for inclusion in special issues after the peer review process of the journals.

                            ART CONTEST

                            “WhEN we are sketching” is a new creative art contest launched by WaterEnergyNEXUS to find iconic original artwork depicting the event topics. In addition, the goal is to increase involvement by stakeholders in the conference issues using the power of art and image communication techniques, creating images that engage people with the emerging topics. In this contest, Science and Art combine to disseminate ideas on environmental sustainability. Submit your artwork no later than 1st April 2023.
